Job Duties:

Analyze the market, identify opportunities, develop a brand strategy, and produce sub-segmentation analyses based on the needs and preferences of individual consumers.
Develop the effective marketing strategies to increase sales within wine industry market segments based on an analysis of the industry's market segments.
Prepare insightful reports on customers, consumer trends, pricing, volumes, and the competitive landscape regarding the implementation of the wine market strategies.
Develop the "Glenview" brand through new media means and raise brand awareness in order to attract consumers to Glenview Vineyards.
Incorporate extensive knowledge and experience pertaining to customers, competitors, and the market conditions into activity plans to improve customer engagement.
Keep abreast of dynamic e-commerce market dynamics as well as best-in-class activations in the assigned region.
Establish a social media plan and an online ordering platform by organizing and integrating relevant internal and external resources.

Job Duties:

Search out and evaluate vineyard problems and make recommendations that provide effective, timely and economic solutions that deliver quality fruit
Ensure that all necessary grape-growing and brewing equipment is on site and in good and safe operating condition prior to work
Instruct staff on proper cultivation, thinning, pruning, tying, suckering, canopy management, planting and replanting, irrigation, and harvesting
Monitor and maintain weather stations and soil/water sensors around the vineyard
Monitor monthly wine production and tracked sales
Supervise workers to properly install sheds and fences, build irrigation and frost protection systems
Enforce company policy; ensure that every job or task is safe for the employees; supervise to make sure all work is carried out correctly; assist the workers and treat them with respect.

Requirements:

Positive attitude that contributes to an efficient and enjoyable work environment.
Good sense of humour and desire to work in a team setting.
Keen to contribute ideas and demonstrate problem solving abilities.
At least 7 years of fruit planting experience or work in a similar field.
Knowledge of vineyard management practices is an asset.
Self-motivated and hardworking.

Ability to work at a fast pace in groups or alone.
Physically strong and capable of working efficiently in a variety of weather conditions.

Glenview Vineyards Is Now Accepting Resumes For 2022 Seasonal Vineyard Labourers

Job Duties:

Canopy Management: pruning, tying, shoot thinning, tucking, shoot positioning, leaf thinning, hedging.
Harvest: harvest of grapes including manual labour.
Trellis Maintenance; general repairs of trellis systems.
Comply with all company policies and regulations.
Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations.
Perform other duties as directed by manager/supervisor.

Requirements:

Must be available to work on Glenview Vineyards from February to December, 2022
No experience or education required, but prior vineyard experience is an asset
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time.
Enjoy working outdoors.
This is a seasonal, hourly position, with the potential for longer-term employment for the right candidate
Reliable transportation to and from work
